Resell

Previously known as The Clothing Bank. Are you an aspiring entrepreneur? Want to be self-employed? During this holistic 2-year enterprise development programme we work with unemployed mothers to help them become self-employed as fashion traders.

During this holistic 2-year enterprise development programme we work with unemployed mothers to help them become successful clothing and fashion traders. You learn how to buy and sell. You learn life skills, business skills and computer skills. You benefit from coaching, mentorship and a support network of like-minded women. You even receive a qualification and, most importantly, become your own boss. It’s hard work, but it’s worth it!

Where do we offer the Resell programme?

At all five of our branches: Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, East London or Paarl. We select up to 500 women annually through our recruitment and shortlisting process, and we support up to 1000 women at any given time.

How does it work?

Who can apply?

To qualify, you must:

Besley Malumane, 37

Before Besley joined TCB, she says her life was like a nightmare. She was living from hand to mouth and her self-confidence was very low. Her husband died 6 months after she joined TCB, resulting in her being kicked out of her family home. She became very depressed and received support from TCB through coaching and counselling. Despite all her setbacks, Besley has built her own business. “I now have a new home now and I learnt how to drive. My children attend a good school and I am a good mother. I can give back to those around me.”
