Ofentse Swaratlhe’s Journey Towards Financial Freedom

Ofentse Swaratlhle | Repair Programme | Johannesburg

My name is Ofentse Swaratlhe. I am 29 years old and I will be turning 30 in November. I live in Ivory Park.

Being chosen for this programme means a lot to me. I can already see the difference it is making in my life.

What excites me most is learning the technical skills that are taught here. These skills help a lot because they are lifetime skills that I can continue to use in the future.

I hope to grow as an entrepreneur and create financial freedom for myself and my family. My goal is to build a bigger business and eventually register a larger company. I want to create a legacy that will benefit my family.

Financial independence is my top priority right now. I want to achieve it for my children and create a better future for them.

I am committed to making the most of this opportunity and giving it my all. I hope it works out for me and my family because I can see how much there is to learn.

Completing this journey would mean a lot to me. There are many valuable lessons to gain, and I see TCB as an important connection and support for my family’s future.

If I had to encourage others, I would tell them that things can work out if they seek the right opportunities and remain committed to their goals.

My future feels brighter because I have TCB by my side as a foundation for my success.

Taking Care of Business (TCB) is a nonprofit social enterprise. We are empowering unemployed South Africans and their families to escape the cycle of poverty through small business opportunities, mostly within the circular economy.
